The "Taoyuan Literature Museum" is expected to be completed in July 2023, making Taoyuan a city with stories, temperature and culture.
Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-Tsan went to Taoyuan District on the morning of July 7 to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of Taoyuan Literature Museum. According to the Mayor, the "Taoyuan Literature Museum project" covers an area of 653 square meters with a total budget of NT$120.4 million. The four-story main building and the one-story Japanese-style exhibition hall will be completed in July 2023. At that time, the brand new "Taoyuan Literature Museum" will collect the works of Taoyuan writers, and also have the functions of education and cultural exchange. It can not only hold various symposiums and book publishing meetings, but also act as a literary exchange base in the form of an independent bookstore, and become a popular spot for Taoyuan citizens. The Mayor also hopes that it could attract more writers to settle down in Taoyuan, so that Taoyuan can become a city with more stories, temperature and culture.
